1:44PM EDT september 28 the national weather service issues a statement regarding current weather conditions as being good for funnel cloud formation. these funnel clouds could produce very weak tornadoes for very short periods of time.the weather has been cool and rainy for the past few days. in between the rain, skies clear out, the sun shines. clouds move in, it pours again. weird weather. yesterday a funnel cloud touched down east of here causing minor damage. today a funnel was on the southwest side, not that far from the house. sirens sounded. no watches or warnings issued. just a statement.

I think we were inside the Museum by that time. I thought it looked pretty dark in some areas, but wow!
