Sichuan Takin Naming Contest - Potawatomi Zoo

Congratulations! Your name suggestion, Sonam, was chosen by the Potawatomi Zoo staff to name our baby Sichuan Takin! I had seen the contest on the zoo's facebook page and decided to enter just for the hell of it. I thought it would be cool to name a zoo animal. the Sichuan Takin is native to Tibet and
the provinces of Sichuan, Gansu and Xinjiang in the People's Republic of China. I looked up Tibetan names and decided on Sonam, which means the fortunate one.
