Road Tripping Pt XI

Destination: Amarillo, Texas. 286 miles, four hour drive time. We made other stops along the way. Headed out of Albuquerque on Historic Route 66, paralleling the Interstate. We drove the section of singing highway, where the rumble strips play the song "America The Beautiful". We stopped in Tucumcari, New Mexico for lunch and souvenirs. We drove through the ghost towns of Endee, New Mexico and Glenrio, New Mexico & Texas. We took pictures in Adrian, Texas, the midpoint of Route 66, which begins in Chicago, Illinois and ends in Santa Monica, California. Once we arrived in Amarillo, we stopped at Cadillac Ranch, an art installation along the highway. From there we went to our hotel, checked in, then headed into town to explore.
